Taking inspiration from the 500 identified plant species found in Botticelli’s Primavera, this design depicts forget-me-nots, anemones, cornflowers and cosmos among an abundance of other flowers. Painted in detailed watercolours, the blooms are scattered around in a multidirectional repeat – reminiscent of the lush meadow bed that surrounds the Roman goddess Venus in Botticelli’s famous painting. Flora Primavera is part of the Earth story, a tribute to the earth’s bounty, these designs immerse us in the captivating details of the natural world.
